How do I get started with ChoreChamp?

When you first open the app, you'll be guided through a quick setup process. Create your family, add family members (parents and children), and then start adding chores. You can use our built-in chore templates or create custom chores.

What's the difference between Parent Mode and Kid Mode?

Parent Mode gives full access to manage chores, approve completions, give bonuses/penalties, and record payouts. It's protected by a 4-digit PIN. Kid Mode is a simplified view where children can see their assigned chores, mark them complete, view their balance, and track savings goals.

How does the approval system work?

When a child marks a chore as complete, it goes into a pending state. Parents can then approve or reject the completion from the Approvals tab. Once approved, the chore's value is added to the child's balance.

Does ChoreChamp sync across devices?

Yes! ChoreChamp uses iCloud to sync your family's data across all devices signed into the same iCloud account. Make sure iCloud is enabled for ChoreChamp in your device settings.

What's included in ChoreChamp Premium?

ChoreChamp Premium unlocks unlimited family members, unlimited chores, advanced statistics, and more achievements. The free version allows up to 2 children and 10 active chores.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find ChoreChamp, and tap Cancel Subscription. You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.

Can I change the currency?

Yes! ChoreChamp supports multiple currencies. You can set your preferred currency during initial setup or change it later in Settings > Family Settings.

What are savings goals?

Savings goals help children learn to save for something they want. They can create a goal with a target amount, and their earnings can be allocated toward it. It's a great way to teach delayed gratification and money management.

How do streaks work?

Streaks count consecutive days where a child completed at least one chore. They're a fun way to encourage consistency. Longer streaks unlock achievements!

I forgot my parent PIN. What do I do?

If you've forgotten your PIN, you can reset it by deleting and reinstalling the app. Note that if you have iCloud sync enabled, your family data will be restored, but you'll need to set a new PIN during setup.

Is my family's data private?

Absolutely. Your data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We don't have access to your family's information. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Does ChoreChamp work offline?

Yes! ChoreChamp works fully offline. Any changes made while offline will sync to other devices once you're back online.
